Student Leadership

At Salvado Catholic College we aim to provide age-appropriate opportunities for students to learn and model leadership skills. Formalised leadership structures have been implemented including the appointment of House Captains and Student Leadership Teams.

There are a number of Leadership Teams and Leadership opportunities that students can nominate to be involved, which include:

  • Catholic Identity

  • Social Justice

  • Arts & Technology

  • Sports

  • Wellbeing & Safety

  • Sustainability & Environment

  • Hospitality & Special Events

  • Multicultural & Aboriginal Education

  • Pastoral Care Group Leader

  • House Leaders

  • Year Level Leaders

Students are given opportunities based on their interests to develop leadership skills through recognising and responding to various needs in the community. This model of student leadership enables students to learn that they need not wear a badge in order to be a leader and that leadership stems from selfless actions that are selflessly carried out for the benefit of others.
